Paul joined Tridan in September 2011 as an apprentice. He was enrolled into the local college on a weekly day release course to study for his City and Guilds Level 2.
Paul quickly settled into our CNC Milling Department after a stint in all departments. His onsite training also started in earnest with both internal and external training.
Paul passed level 2 in July 2012 with flying colours earning at least two distinctions and progressed to level 3 in September of the same year and passed this again with good results in December 2013.
“Paul has done superbly well and is not only turning into an excellent engineer, he is also a credit to himself, his family and Tridan. Young people are somewhat overlooked in today’s market place, but they are Tridan’s and all our futures, we will continue in the summer 2016 with employing more apprentices as they are key to our longevity.”
Paul Hawkins, MD
In conjunction with his City and Guilds success he earned his EAL Level 2 NVQ in Performing Engineering Operations in August 2013 and his Intermediate Level Apprenticeship also.
Paul finished his apprenticeship in March this year and has grown into a pivotal member of our team being tasked with setting one of the capital machines in the factory.
Our current five apprentices look to him for guidance and mentoring.
We are very proud of our apprenticeship scheme within Tridan. We have 6 key employees that have all successfully passed and are continuing their development through stringent and successful training plans.
