Our state-of-the-art CNC milling centres enable us to manufacture a wide range of precision components, from large castings through to complex prismatic parts. This capability is further supported by our dedicated manual finishing facility and air-conditioned assembly area, ensuring quality and consistency throughout the manufacturing process.
5 Axis CNC Machining
The process of 5 axis machining uses Computer Numerical Control (CNC) to move up to 5 different axes simultaneously, enabling the most complex work pieces to be machined with ultra precision and increased accuracy. Our 5 axis Mazak machining centres can provide infinite possibilities, greater precision and accuracy on highly complex parts with reduced set up times and improved productivity with multi pallet set ups. With the ability to work to and maintain tolerances of .002µm in all materials, our 5-axes capacity allows us to machine parts up to 500mm Dia, with 120 tool carousels and utilising our multi pallet systems we can reduce lead times and still maintain high precision repeatability.
5-Axis Machining Centres with Multi-Pallet Pools
Our Mazak 5-Axis i500 with 6-pallet Palletech system maximises machine shop output by grouping similar parts together, minimising spindle downtime, and enabling extended lights-out operation. This pre-engineered automation brings flexibility and efficiency to modern machining environments.
Complementing this, we now operate a second 5-axis machining centre with a pallet system. A Mazak i700 with 6 pallet MPP, offering a larger machining envelope and a large-capacity tool carousel. This additional capacity allows us to machine larger, more complex components whilst maintaining high levels of automation and productivity.
Both systems utilise Mazak`s Smooth control software in conjunction with the Palletech Manufacturing Cell (PMC) controller, providing real-time monitoring, instant schedule changes, and the versatility required to keep production moving and meet customer demand.
3 & 4 Axis Machining Centres
For components not requiring full 5-axis machining, Tridan operates a comprehensive range of 3 and 4 axis CNC machining centres capable of maintaining close-tolerance machining down to ±0.002 mm across a wide variety of materials.
These machines are equipped with 4th axis capability, 30 to 48 tool carousels, and can be configured with pallet loading systems or large machine beds up to 760 mm x 1740 mm. This provides increased flexibility, reduced setup times, and improved productivity.
The use of pallet systems enables higher productivity and extended unattended operation, supporting the efficient manufacture of complex, high-precision components whilst maintaining repeatability and consistent quality.
CNC Horizontal & Vertical Machining Centres
Our CNC machining centres range from machines capable of producing large components up to 760 mm x 510 mm x 1740 mm, through to high-speed, high-precision platforms designed for the machining of delicate and intricate components.
The majority of these machines feature twin-pallet configurations with tooling carousels of up to 120 stations, maximising spindle uptime and reducing changeover times. Rotary 4th axis and full 5 axis capability is available across both large and small format machines, providing total flexibility for the efficient machining of both round and prismatic components.
