Today, we celebrated the long service achievements of Paul Fisher and Gavin Rotchell at Tridan Engineering.
Paul Fisher has been an integral part of Tridan for an astounding 46 years—almost since the company’s inception! As our longest-serving employee, his dedication and commitment are truly inspiring and a remarkable achievement in itself.
Paul started off at Tridan in the tool stores at our old factory. Since then, he has witnessed significant changes: the literal roof blowing off, a move to our present and much larger factory, various job roles, numerous retirements and staff changes, as well as 10 changes of Prime Minister!
For the past 30 years, Paul has excelled in his role as a production controller, overseeing our supply chain and transport requirements. He is looking forward to the next 10 years, after which he can start thinking about retiring himself!
Gavin has been with Tridan for 25 years, constantly improving and taking on various roles throughout his time here. He began his career working on a machining cell for making printing machines. From there, he progressed to operating CNC Wadkins, Hitachi`s, and Mazaks, where he oversaw the datum machining of magnesium castings for the aerospace industry.
His journey then continued by setting and running our first 5 Axis Mazak Variaxis at which point Gavin took over as CNC milling supervisor looking after a variety of machines and the team.
Gavin is now part of our Production Engineering team, tasked with ensuring that all our machining centres run at the most optimized times and can handle the most complex parts being designed in this modern world.
Paul Hawkins, MD commented “To reward long service was a great honour for me, their continued loyal and dedicated service has been paramount to our success. Retention of staff is something we are very proud of at Tridan”.
Congratulations to them both and enjoy your gifts!
