We asked our apprentices for an update on their progress and how they feel the course was working for them with their time at Tridan.
Ella Marsh – Operations and Quality Administrator
Business Administrator Apprenticeship
“After joining Tridan, I started the business administrator level 3 apprenticeship in June 2023.
I have gained many new skills from this apprenticeship which has benefited me both professionally and personally such as my interpersonal skills.
I completed my apprenticeship in December 2024 achieving a distinction in project/improvement and presentation, a distinction in the portfolio-based interview and a pass in the knowledge test which resulted in an overall pass.
Since completing the apprenticeship I am being trained on various new tasks, taken up new responsibilities such as customer returns, understanding assembly details of product, work pack operations, and assisting our Quality Assurance Director – Mike Newman with industrial invalidation of parts.
My role is evolving every day but is focused more on the Quality side at the moment rather than operations and I hope to continue to progress across the department.”
Daniel Coleman – Engineering Apprentice
Machining Technician Apprenticeship
“I am currently underway on my apprenticeship for a Machining Technician to help me along with CNC Machining. I am on my second year, and I have gathered lots of powerful information and knowledge about engineering and am very eager to learn more.
I currently set and run an XYZ mini mill when I am not at college and enjoy the variety of work and parts that we do.”
Nasim Hamrouni – Engineering Apprentice
Machining Technician Apprenticeship
“Following into my second year here at Tridan, I have developed an array of core skills and knowledge, which in turn has helped me with my EAL Level 3 extended diploma.
I am very excited to show off my passion and develop my skillset with the team here at Tridan for many years to come.”
Liston Louth – Apprentice Quality Control Inspector
Engineering Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship
“I am in my final year of my HNC Mechanical Engineering course. I have learnt a lot of useful information on the course which has translated well in my role at Tridan.
I am looking forward to my future at Tridan and where it leads me.”
John Clover – Tool Maker & Apprentice Co-Ordinator
“Having worked in various roles at Tridan and other machine shops it is a pleasure to be the Apprentice Co-ordinator, enabling me to mentor the apprentice’s and impart my knowledge with them.
I help and encourage them with their day-to-day training and assist them with their college work ensuring that they can get the best out of their time here at Tridan.
Working as a team with the engineering supervisors at Tridan, our vision is that when the apprentice’s finish their apprenticeship, they are confident and able to undertake any tasks within the Tridan machine shop that are given to them.”
