Machining Technician Apprenticeship
I am currently in my third year of an apprenticeship as a Machining Technician, during which I have developed a strong foundation of engineering knowledge and practical experience. I am highly motivated and keen to continue expanding my skills within precision engineering.
I am competent in setting and running XYZ Mini Mills at Tridan Engineering and am now progressing onto larger Mazak VTC machining centres, further developing my capability with more advanced CNC equipment.

Entering my third year at Tridan Engineering, I continue to develop and refine my core machining skills while building a broad knowledge base in CNC milling. This hands-on experience has directly supported my progress toward achieving my EAL Level 3 Extended Diploma, strengthening both my technical understanding and practical capability within precision engineering.

His experience and technical knowledge play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of our busy Inspection department.
John Clover – Tool Maker & Apprentice Co-Ordinator
Having worked in various roles at Tridan and other machine shops it is a pleasure to be the Apprentice Co-ordinator, enabling me to mentor the apprentice’s and impart my knowledge with them. I am also on my way to completing my Level 3 certificate in leadership and management training.
I help and encourage them with their day-to-day training and assist them with their college work ensuring that they can get the best out of their time here at Tridan.
Working as a team with the engineering supervisors at Tridan, our vision is that when the apprentice’s finish their apprenticeship, they are confident and able to undertake any tasks within the Tridan machine shop that are given to them.
