Tridan Infrastructure – New Mechanical Assembly Facilities – Part 1

Over the last few years at Tridan it had become apparent that our assembly and finishing area was beginning to outgrow itself. Tridan have always offered assembly as a service, but it was limited in the past to sub-assemblies i.e. the installation of wire thread inserts, dowel pins and installation of bearings etc.

During the past few years, we have seen a trend in customer demand for the supply of fully finished assemblies. With this upturn in demand, we have evaluated the size and position of our assembly area as the existing area was simply not large enough to cope with this new demand. Also being upstairs on our mezzanine area made it unsuitable for larger assemblies.

After some restructuring of our packing and dispatch area we found the perfect place to build a new area, suitable to cope with the current and increasing demand.

We can now offer a much more comprehensive assembly service and are already supplying mechanical assemblies complete with fully machined prismatic parts, as well as the supply of fabricated and welded parts, with full fitting along with all associated ancillary items such as aerospace fasteners, springs and wire locking down to the finishing touch of pre-printed labels.

The area itself is air conditioned and humidity controlled, it is fitted with led lighting all round and has down draft benches, ink jet printers for part marking, oven facilities for curing and ultrasonic cleaning tanks. It is fully equipped with bespoke benches and modular fixturing for ongoing projects as well as calibrated torque wrenches and associated tooling required for most jobs.

Although this new area is not technically classed as a clean room, we are treating it as such, therefore, we have also added a separate area for the fine finishing and deburring of parts so that there is no danger of FOD in the main assembly area.
